Happiest Day Ever.

I know I whined and moaned about it and the butterflies in my stomach arrived around 6:00 am on Sunday (D-day), but everything went so perfectly and beautifully that August 23rd will be our day forever. So there you have it, we finally tied the knot and even though we still don't "feel" married, I definately feel complete and secure. Thank you mommy for making me feel like a princess and accepting the man I love the way you do. Thank you Mom and Dad Paxman for coming such a long way to share our special day and contributing your support in such a big way. Thank you Shelley for helping in every way you could and being the special sister you are and last but not least, thank you Gretchen, Grant and Brielle for being so accepting and loving. I have a fine family.

Hey Kendall, remember this pose from the dam in Page, AZ?

I don't have any of the good group pictures. Beverly and my mom have those.

Geez, that's a big baby!

I've let Bev have her way now it's my turn.

I wanted to wait for Beverly to spill the beans about our big day since it's mostly her family that reads my blogs and I thought it would be better coming from her. So, now that it's all out there I can vent. It went from private ceremony and dinner to witnesses and reception minus the DJ (my mom did find one just in case). I ended up having to design a cake with a specialist and try to match wristlets with the dresses. These are all decisions I never intended to make. But no matter how many times I say, "I just want to have dinner", my bridezilla mom won't listen. I am really, really grateful that Beverly and Brad are coming because my mom would have done all this anyway and Wayland would have been really left out without his family. We really should have planned it better so more could share our day with us and please know that we are feeling guilty about this. We only wanted to get it over with. Sorry Wayland, I couldn't stop this freight train.

PS. I am secretly super excited!

PSS. I forgot to warn the Paxmans about the Squeteri's... I was joking about telling them to prepare for the hurricane weather but I am not joking about my family. They are loud, they bicker, they are always right and they are Italian. 5 Squeteri's in one room could easily sound like 20. I am expecting 18 so... brace yourselves.

Thank you Kathy and Thank you Wayland!

Wayland brought this DVD home from the library. It was a sweet thought. This great 1989 production of Kathy Smith's Pregnancy Workout demonstrates how gross it is to watch chunky pregos in unitards working out to a sweet 80's beat and feelin' the burn. I did it for a couple of minutes and I decided this is something I must do in private to spare my dignity. My favorite part is when Kathy says, "...And now your kegels, ... 2, 3, 4 and 1, 2, 3, 4."

I'm DONE!!!!!!!

I received my final grades yesterday for the remaining two classes I needed for my A.S. degree! I got an 'A' and a 'C', that means I made it! I finally have a 'graduated' status and it feels GOOD! It only took 8 years to do it but I did it and did it in the nic of time.
I now hold an AS degree in Computer Information Technology (CIT) Tech support
and the following technical certificates:

  • Tech Support Specialist

  • Web developement Specialist

  • Computer Programming Specialist

This has been quite a BIG year for us and I am soooo greatful for all the wonderful surprises, love and support that has been offered us. The real question is, what now? I've been at a community college so long that I'm afraid to re-enter society. I'm glad I have some time to think about what my next move is while I prepare for the baby.

Inspired by Sephora Plum

Ever since I picked up my Sephora birthday gift I have had such a purple inspiration. Sephora gave me 3 wonderful lip glosses for my birthday and I split them with Gretchen and Brielle. If there are any Sephora non-believers out there, I'm here to tell you it is all its cracked up to be! Anyway, I also bought purple flipflops and found "Raisin" mascara by Almay to match my plum lipgloss that smells like Dr. Pepper. Yes purple mascara is my new found love. I always thought my eyes were gray or blue until they clashed with blue mascara. My eyes are green! My search for green mascara led me to "raisin". For any of those with green eyes, please consider a brownish purple color, you may never go back!
ps. updated belly picture. There's a sweet little girl in there!

Fang!

This guy thinks he hang out over our front door! I walked right under him oblivious, he is HUGE! His lower abdomen is about the size of a quarter. I've never seen a spider like this before. Wayland thinks he awesome an started taking pictures like the paparazzi but don't let me find him alone... I have a can of hairspray and a lighter, and I know how to use them!
Say ello, to Way's little friend!

Stupid No Good Know It All Nurse!

We went for our consultation with our new OB today and didn't even meet the Doc. We filled out paperwork and the nurse ran down the list of usual questions about my medical history. Isn't that why I had my records faxed over, all 18 pages of that stuff. Nooooo, that wasn't good enough. Apparently, everyone else is incompetent! First she told me that my kids might get bored because we would be there for an hour and a half filling out paperwork! What?! Then I had to politely ask if I could change the channel on the tv in the waiting room because they were watching soaps and there was a whole lot of half-naked cuddling and kissing going on if you know what I mean and I don't watch that filth much less let my kids see it! So her rude answer was, "I have to shut it off when I come out there to talk to you anyway" and I said, "GREAT! Go ahead and shut it off!" Then she also had the nerve to reprimand me about my weight gain when we finally did start the consultation! I should've asked her if she looked in the mirror lately! She says, "The doctor will tell you only to gain 25 lbs. no matter what." Well, let the doc tell me and I will tell him that I don't feel 140 lbs is an outrageous amount of weight for a 7 month pregnant 29 year old. She also said that I have to RETAKE an hour long glucose test for gestational diabetes because she felt my last Dr. had me take it too soon; a week and a half too soon. Oh sure, insurance companies really like to have subscribers take the tests twice. I don't like her! I want Laser-Face back. And we were only there for 30 min. not an hour and a half. Hopefully, the doctor is better because my best friend recommended him. We'll see, our next appointment is next Thursday, I'll let you know how it goes...
